The Hacienda Asphalt

Black Swan (2010, Darren Aronofsky)

Every performance in this film is seemless. Expertly done. It must be hell to be a ballerina. To not only be entirely entrenched in patriarchal standard, but to be it's panultimate and thereby to be the monolith of a standard that aims to keep your kind ensnared, is truly tragic. The art is beautiful, but is it true? What is it predicated on? The surrealism didn't always work for me, but that's okay.
